    Default CSP Now or Wait?

    Hi Guys,
I've been planning to get the CSP for a while, but I waited because of the $3k spend to get the bonus. Now, I'll be moving and I'll have to pay for a lot of stuff, so I'll easily hit the new $2k spend to get 40k they are offering.

The question is, should I get the CSP now or wait? March 12th is my 3x CLI date for the BCE, where I'll be requesting a $15,000 limit. The at least another month for it to start reporting that new limit. By that point, I'll be at a new job and the move will be over. Unless the apartment complex allows me to pay for my rent and stuff on a CC, making the $2k spend will be a little hard since the new job will keep me very busy and cover a lot of my expenses.

Basically the question comes down to this -- will Chase be more likely to give me a limit bigger than $5k on a CSP if the BCE reports as a $15k limit (if it gets approved)? If so, it might be worth me waiting.

    What does everyone think?

I've heard Chase doesn't like to see any inquiries in the last 6 months. I have 2 from when I applied for the Freedom back in 8/2012, and 1 from AMEX in 1/2013. Are they going to give me a hard time about that at all?

I apped for 2 chase cards after having a BofA pull earlier. 2 inquiries shouldn't be terrible, but my situation was different when I applied. If you decide to apply, make sure your utilization is rock bottom in order to improve your odds.

My utilization is currently reported at 1%, and I have a significant amount of money in Chase checking/savings accounts, so that should help me out.

Getting approved wasn't a concern. I knew I would get an instant approval. I just wanted to get approved with a higher limit than I got. Oh well, I'll get my bonus, I'll get the 3x from BCE (hopefully), and in the future I'll push for more.

Sorry. Just run a bunch of spending through it and pay it off. They will raise it. I don't believe they are as stingy as Discover.
