I only have two non-Amex cards and their limits are $20K and $25K. I'm hoping that Discover looks at this and gives me an appropriate limit instead of something like $5K but I won't know until I apply. But the Citi is on the list as well as a possible.
I could ask for another Chase Slate or Freedom card since technically, I'm just an authorized user on my wife's Freedom and it's not my card (not sure how this works regarding approval).
The Diamond Preferred have some interesting features over the Simplicity product but I'm not sure if it's enough for me to use long term versus the Freedom or BankAmericard Reward product we already have, or the Discover IT that I want.
Finally, in reading the FAQ files on FICO over at myFico.com, they mention that regarding inquiries that 6 inquiries in a year (that aren't car, mortgage or student loan shopping) statistically means that the user is 8 times more likely to declare bankruptcy in twelve months. I'm don't think I want to be on that analytics report. I want to save one inquiry for later since I intend to refi my mortgage perhaps by Spring.
