Why? A couple of reasons. First, I have only one Mastercard with a 2k limit, which it wouldn't surprise me if Barclay's does some AA on me when they soft me and find the new accounts I got. I would like to have at least one Mastercard, two would be great.
Also Citi is like the girl you can't get. I've app'd with them since early last year, not recently, but was rejected everytime, typically for stupid reasons. They hate me. I mean I got Amex, but I couldn't get Citi if I paid them. I've had Amex, Chase, Discover, BOA, US Bank, etc, but could never get Citi.
So that's why. And frankly, since I got the 15-30 day notice (I think that's how many days it said) that's likely to be yet another thumbs down. (not guaranteed but if I were a betting man, my money would be on "declined"). But I figured what the hell, only an EX inquiry to burn to find out.....
Usually they had already sent me the declined email I assume it was a short day for them with the holiday which is why I wasn't declined yet, but I'm sure that email will come by Wed or Thurs with the "you're meat" notice. I'm not going to recon, I've done that before and calling is a waste of time I can tell you from past experience, I've heard that sending them a letter works, just not sure I care THAT much about it. I mean if I have to beg, the hell with it basically!
