    Default My latest upgrade.

    Hello all,

Previously I held the following card:

NAB Low Fee Card - NAB

Yesterday I upgraded to the new release card:

NAB flybuys Rewards Card - Earn flybuys points - NAB

A few things for my new credit card.

    1) Better points, instead of earning a miserable 1 point per every $5 spent on my old card, my new card has a point ratio of 1:1
    2) The points cap is now $100,000 per month at 1:1
    3) As I have been charging 2 cars through my credit card my points will go up a lot. Things such as car insurance, petrol and car registration I put through my NAB card
    4) It's nice to see NAB be the only big 4 bank in Australia that has the link to FlyBuys.

Even though the annual fee has gone up for me to $60 per year I believe that this card is going to be worth it - its going to be a lot quicker for me to redeem points now.

I am going to have my Diamond Card shown in my signature but for everything car related NAB is the way to go!

    Congrats on the upgrade.

I called yesterday to upgrade my Citibank Dividend World MasterCard to the World Elite version and asked for the "Global Chip" (EMV) as well. Actually, I just wanted the Global Chip (Citi speak for EMV) but they said my World MasterCard wasn't eligible so she offered the World Elite version. We'll see. It was a foriegn rep and I don't have much confidence that it will be handled properly.

I would call back and confirm. The EMV chips must be setup properly as the US issuers are not giving you an easy way to change pins.

Thank you very much - I really do enjoy getting upgrades on my cards. Let us know how you go with the Citibank Global Chip.

Actually, because the US always has to be different (sarcasm but I do love the US nonetheless) ours aren't Chip and PIN like the rest of the world. What few are offered here are Chip and Signature. The UN Federal Credit Union and Andrews Federal Credit Union are the only issuers so far offering true Chip + PIN besides Diners Club. But having a Chip card at all is pretty cool. Hopefully within the next two years we will be getting all of our cards with Chips and as the technology grows they will be able to offer Chip + PIN instead of Signature.

Will do. I logged into my account online and there was a message that a new card had been sent out and should arrive by 5 May. But I bet they just sent a normal card HA! I am not going to get myself set up for being let down, so if the card arrives as they promised, great. If not, oh well. I have never really had a problem with Citibank before so who knows. But I will let all of you know.
