Default Capital One No Hassle Rewards Annual Fee Waived?

Ok, I did not know were to ask this question to I am sorry I started a whole new thread.

I have a Capital One No Hassle Rewards MasterCard. I have an annual fee of 39 dollars a year. I just learned a few people I know have the same card, but no annual fee. Can I have my fee waived, if I call and make a fuss? Has anyone done this, or is in the same boat?

Yes I'm sure you can call and have the fee waived. I didn't have it done on the same card as you but if you tell them you wanna cancel because of the fee I'm sure they will waive it for you. Good luck.

I wasn't even aware the Capital One No Hassle Rewards card charges an annual fee. I suppose like some of their other cards, whether or not a fee is charged depends on your credit. Seems unfair to me but I guess that's the way it is. Call them up for sure and request no annual fee on your account. Let us know what happens.

OK so here's the deal I have two COne cards I just got one card from being maxed out to only 14% of UTIL%. The RW card that has the fee is maxed out. I am going to pay it down to about 11% and then I will make the call. I have never been late, but my payment has been real sporadic. Meaning I'll pay min. balance for about 2 months then I will pay a huge chunk, use it, max out again; carry a big balance pay min. Balance for a few more months, and finally pay a huge chunk again.

    I will keep you posted.

Cap One makes some of its cards available without a fee depending on your credit score. If it's low, you have to pay the fee, but I think it's something you could talk them out of as long as your credit isn't awful.
    CARDS (and why)
FIA Card Services: Fidelity Amex (best cash back excepting 5% cards), Fidelity Visa (spare)
Chase: Freedom (only for 5% reward categories, purchases under $10), Sapphire (not in use), Amazon Rewards (for Amazon purchases only)
CapitalOne: No Hassle Rewards (no foreign transaction fee, my only MasterCard, not in use)
Amex: Blue Cash Everyday (not in use)
Discover: More (only for 5% reward categories)

Ok, so after some time I have not only paired down the COne card, I called to ask to see if they would remove the fee for now and forever. I pleaded my case, with talk of my better and improving score explained that others have the same product and do not pay a fee. I wanted to be like those customers I exclaimed. Here comes the punchline. I did not get the fee waived, my score is as of today around 715 because my score was so good, they increased my credit line almost a whopping 140 %. Haha, but the fee was not waived.

By the way the product was the CapitalOne No Hassle Rewards.
