Default Chase Ink Cash Business Card

Can anyone tell me if an EIN or Tax ID is required for the Chase Ink Cash Business card or can you just enter your SS#? If not required, can anyone tell me how difficult it is to get this card? Thanks!

I can tell you 1 thing this card is a business card it's suppose to be used for expense accounts like eating out with customers, staying at hotels, flying, in other words it's a company card. Do you travel? are you any 1 of these vice president, president, treasurer, are you a partner of an owner, are you an owner, Ceo? If not, you can't sign up for this particular card. But if you're a sales person or in marketing and you travel on business, you will need company approval from an authorizing officer. I don't know how hard it's to get.

You can get the card if you own your own business - even if you are a sole proprietor. Actually, if you sell things on eBay for income, or generate income from a blog, you can get one. From comments I've read on other sites, some people have had difficulty being approved, e.g., they own two personal Chase cards so they were denied, they had two or more hard pulls on their credit within the last year, so they were denied, etc. I was just wondering if anyone in this forum had experience with this particular card.

This card follows under the same rules as the corporate card from American express. Let's say you work for Minolta , you work in the corporate offices you make 4 business trips a month but your just a sales person not a authorizing officer Your not aloud to apply for this card.
If a vice president wan'ts you to have this card then he/she can take you to the bank you can apply and he/she can sighn the authorizing officer spot.
If I wanted this card I couldn't get it. Anybody can get this card depending upon there apporoval, but only if your an authorizing officer or if they sighn for you.

We're getting off topic from my original question. As I mentioned, with any type of sole proprietorship a person can get a business card - blogging for money, selling on ebay, baby sitting, pet walking, yard sales even, etc. Look at the application - one of the selections that you can choose is "Sole Proprietor." This can pertain to anyone that runs a business, no matter how small. I'm not concerned with WHO can get a card in that respect. With most business cards, you can just enter your SS number, but I read on a different forum that with the Chase Ink card, you must have an EIN or Tax ID. I just wanted to verify that. Also, I read that many people were having difficulty getting the card due to issues pertaining to the same reasons people may be denied for personal cards - two many credit cards with the same bank, too many hard pulls with the CRA's, etc. It just seems that Chase is extremely picky with their Ink cards, and I wanted to see if other people had more positive experiences.

I actually have the Chase Ink cash card myself. You can apply with or without your EIN but either way, you will need to provide your social security number and the approval will be based on your personal credit. Assuming your personal credit is good, you should have no problem getting approved.

To learn more about it is CCF's review of the Chase Ink Cash, Bold, and regular.
Disclosure: I am a moderator/paid staff of this site, which does have advertising relationships with some credit cards that are discussed. Regardless, anything I say is my honest opinion.

    Current Cards:
American Express: Blue Cash, Simply Cash Bank of America: WorldPoints Platinum Plus Chase: Amazon, British Airways, Cash Plus Rewards, Freedom, Ink Cash Citi: Thank You Premier, Dividend Platinum Select Discover: More
Primary Everyday Card: American Express Blue Cash
Primary Travel Card: Citi Thank You Premier
