I see a lot of MasterCard commercials now say "The Heart of Commerce" instead of "There are some things money can't buy. For Everything Else, There's MasterCard." I liked the old slogan the best this Heart of Commerce one sounds boring and the old Mastercard slogan you could do so much with. There were always different scenarios and possibilities they could do in their advertising. Not to mention great spoofs on SNL, YouTube, and everywhere else.

I feel the same way but I don't think MC has gotten rid of that slogan because I remember seeing it recently.
I think the Heart Of Commerce thing is the advertisement more for the businesses that accept credit cards. Then the For Everything Else slogan is for the people that use the cards. I'd be shocked if they got rid of that slogan completely it would be the dumbest thing because why would they build up a brand and its slogan like that and get rid of it? They're smarter than that. |
