Regarding AMEX, are you considering Gold or Premier Rewards Gold? Difference in annual fees, $125 vs $175. Difference in bennies as well.

I think the PRG. I would use it like my debit card

Ok I have to admit I went a little credit happy. Before applying for both the chase cards I was approved for a gold delta AMEX CL 1k. My tu says I have 6 inquires but that's before Amex and chase.

Should I back away for awhile ?

I think I would wait for a bit. 6 is a lot already. Use what you have and your score will get better and the hits won't sting as bad. That's just my take. Others may think differently.

True I think I'm content for awhile. Truth is I don't NEED it.
