Got a 2X auto CLI for Freedom

Postby Drudai » Mon Apr 28, 2014 2:22 pm

:) Needless to say I'm a happy camper.

I've been using my Discover It (2k) for all of my shopping (as well as my joint card with my husband (3k)) and I guess they got the hint I wasn't touching my Freedom. :P Certainly makes me want to swipe that Freedom again.

I plan on transferring my $500 CL from Slate to Freedom in a few more months, so this will definitely be a card worth while again.

there are plenty of reasons to swipe the freedom. 5% on restaurants and lowes are a couple. and then 5% on gas next quarter. why should you case if you have other 5% rotators in your wallet? because Freedom is 5% cash back as a base. redeem them for points/miles and they could be worth 7~10% without too much effort. that surely sounds better than a flat 5%, doesn't it? :)

I rarely go to restaurants lately, have been eating healthier meals at home and keep back a few more bucks for savings. And don't have need for renovations or improvements. I see where you're coming from though. But for whatever reason it felt like Discover appealed to me more. But now that I know Chase does indeed notice me (whether through a computer algorithm or no) I am now again inclined to use it. Mostly was just rejoicing in my auto CIL.

Keep an eye on the 5% categories (and shopping portal bonuses) for both.

Since March of 2013, opened with $500 CL and requested an increase in Nov. 2013 but they only offered up $300 so I was slightly miffed. But better now. I used it today to purchase my year supply of contacts, so I hope they're happy. Lol.
