Upgrade Quicksilver One to Quicksilver

Postby English » Tue Apr 22, 2014 3:57 pm

Guys,

I love my Capitalone Quicksilver One MasterCard card as the no hassle 1.5% cash rewards is great. I just rather not have the $39 annual fee. Does anyone know if capital one would upgrade the card to the quicksilver visa? I have a 713 FICO according to my Discover Card statement.

Matt
Discover It - $3000
Chase Freedom - $2000
Bank of America Cash Rewards - $2000
Capital One QuicksilverOne - $2500
Capital One Classic - $500

Cap 1 will likely only approve you to PC to the no AF version of the card if it is a current promo for your account. I had a Visa with them that had an AF and all I wanted was a card with no AF but they only would approve me for other cards with AFs. If I wanted the no AF cards I had to apply for them. I closed the card after being an active customer for >12 years; they didn't even try to get me to stay.

My experience, YMMV.
