Anyone Else Get CLI Email for CSP?

Postby Robrus1 » Fri Mar 21, 2014 11:46 am

I got an email from Chase offering to raise my credit limit with no hard pull. All I had to do was verify my income and click submit. I got an instant bump from 20K to 23.5K! Chase rocks! I've never seen them do CLIs that way, but it works for me.

I already added an "authorized user" who will never get to see the card- that will get me 5k points!

Chase takes the "must be able to repay" part of the card act (or one of the related bits of reform) seriously. That means they don't give auto CLI after the first year (they're allowed to assume that your income is the same as what you put on your application for a year, then that data is out dated.), except where they can verify income. Thus, the email asking you to provide the information. Why they can't just put a 'ask for limit increase' button the website, who knows.
