Anyone have the BoA Better Balance Rewards Card?

Postby GoCreditGo! » Wed Feb 12, 2014 11:19 am

Thinking about getting for the quarterly bonus. Wondering about the minimum monthly spend the card requires and I can't find it in the fine print.

$25 is sufficient. I have been spending $25 on 3 cards every month and got $75 in reward each quarter.

I recently changed my Accelerated Cash Rewards Amex to the Better Balance Rewards MasterCard. I have my $34.99 24 Hour Fitness autobilled to the card and I earn the quarterly reward ($30 with BofA checking). As others have said though, there really is no minimum as long as you have a balance and pay on time each month.

Get a BoA credit card and enjoy this level of service:

Chris: Hello! To assist you with your personal credit card, may I please have your first and last name along with the last four digits of your account?
You: (cut)
Chris: Good afternoon, (otter)!
Chris: How may I help you today with your personal credit card?
Chris: Thank you for that information.
You: today is the closing date of my credit card
You: after today i will have more than $25 in rewards
Chris: Do you need to make a payment?
You: once i submit the reward to be put into my checking account, how long before it posts to the checking acct?
You: i have a zero balance ... why would i need to make a payment?
Chris: Thank you for giving me the exact details.
Chris: In order to avoid late fees and interest charges, you have to pay on or before the due date.
Chris: Yes, if you transfer your credits from your checking it will go through today but the posting date will be in 1-2 business days.
You: okay, because after i get my cash rewards posted to my checking acct, i will be closing the secured credit card. how long after i close the secured credit card before i get my deposit back?
Chris: We can close the account right away for you.
You: l don't want to close it now, because i have $25 in rewards that would be forfeited
Chris: Would you be interested in adding overdraft protection to your checking account? You can use your credit card for overdraft protection.
You: i do want you to answer the question I asked...
Chris: We appreciate you monitoring the account.
You: oh my god...
Chris: You will receive the credit in 7-10 business days.
You: okay. thanks. have a nice day in whatever third world country you live in... india/bangladesh/pakistan/other

Excellent point!
Gold American Express, since 1979,
back when it meant something.
And a few other cash back cards as well.

And all this time.. I thought people hated America because we meddle in other countries affairs, have one of the highest standards of living, are ethnocentric and believe in American exceptionalism. Plus we are the great Satan. Didn't know it was because people like me insult foreign CSR's.

Sorry, but I'm not going to feel guilty because somebody who doesn't even speak/understand/write English that well thought they were qualified enough to apply for a job which requires them to interact with native English speakers. I have a working knowledge of Hindi/Urdu (I have some ancestry from India), but I would never think of taking a job answering questions in Hindustani because I'm not qualified. If I did I would deserve whatever abuse they decided to dish out...

And let them use my personal info... it'd be easily traced and that money BoA thought they saved by hiring people not qualified to answer questions in English would go down the pisser... I'd sue the sh!t out of them
