Approved for Barclaycard Arrival !!!

Postby gold-rick » Thu Jan 30, 2014 9:41 pm

I saw the 40k point offer, and had to apply! This card could possibly take over my CSP as my everyday card.

I was approved for $3000 but I immediately called Barclays "back door" number and they accepted my request to $5000 to match my CSP!

Hopefully the Arrival card works out for me!

The 40K miles posted to my account before the qualifying transactions did. I was impressed.

Congrats!

Got the Arrival 3mo ago, haven't used my CSP since, going to PC next month and sock drawer it!
Card is great! Clean website, points post quickly and it has the same UR mall for extra points.
Unless you're big on transferring UR points, makes no sense to keep using the CSP.

Sounds like they are great w recons, I was approved for 12.5k, called right away and asked to at least match my CSP(15k), they did without hesitation.

FYI: I just got back from vacation. I booked a private shuttle to get from the airport to the ski resort. Merchant code is taxicabs/limos. Barclaycard would not let me redeem miles for it as a travel purchase. I called to complain with no luck (despite escalating issue to a manager).

IIRC the Sapphire does count these sort of expenses as travel. So this is something to consider if you prefer using a car service to renting a car.
