I opened my Capital One in 1998; my first card. Initial credit line $300---->$1,000 (4/99)---->$2.250 (2/00 upgraded to Gold MasterCard)---->$2,700 (11/00)----->$5,700 (5/01)----->$7,700 (self initiated 9/01)------->$9,700 (8/02 self initiated)----->$10,000 (2007 after they sent a letter asking what they could do to improve my card, I didn't want an upgrade or anything to change my 10.9% FIXED apr so I said, "well, I'd like an even $10,000 limit" and they did). In 2005 it was automatically upgraded to a Platinum No Hassle Rewards card, no CLI; and just this past November they automatically changed it to a Platinum Venture One again no CLI.
As you can see, my experience with them goes back years and I have not met anybody else that had as much luck as I did with them. I received two huge (by Cap1 standards) back in 2001; they obviously have since changed their underwriting practices and are not as generous.
You will likely top out at $3K on your PlayStation card. Generally speaking new applicants with great credit can get high limits on a Venture or Platinum Premium (or whatever they call it) card; but rebuilder or builder cards rarely go above $3K.
