Instant Approval = Loving Chase

Postby ncosky290 » Mon Jan 20, 2014 7:32 pm

So back in Feb of 2013 I applied for the Freedom. Approved for a 2k limit after recon... 3 months later auto cli to 2.5k which wasn't much but was ok. Took the HP for a 1k bump to 3.5k... In October I applied for the CSP. Instant approval for 5k. Was not expecting that. Was getting close to the end of the intro period of the Freedom so instead of getting declined for a APR reduction (just because I hate the high number that even though i don't carry a heavy balance) I transferred the 3.5 to the CSP and closed the freedom. That now made the CSP 8.5k... Today I applied for the CITI TYP and was denied. Outta being annoyed I read that Chase may approve after 3 months for another card and since the Freedom was PIF and closed I applied for the Marriott Rewards Premier Visa with the 0 AF for the first year... Instant Approval for the 5K. Was so excited. Will keep it for like 6 months then move that limit to the CSP making it 13.5K... Pretty excited of how chase went from no instant approval for the freedom to 2 5K approvals within 3 months of each app. This shows that if your loyal and don't burn Chase they will def be a premier bank to be with for life... Not exactly sure if I will keep the CSP or PC back to the Freedom after the AF kicks in but I already got my 500 bonus with the CSP. I really am liking Chase a lot. Citi can suck it. I will never apply for another account with them.. And since I am venting BofA can suck it too as I wanted the PSU Alumi card and they said no to that about 4 months ago...

The point is... Once your in with Chase and you keep the relationship perfect they will deff be a bank you will want to keep doing business with. Great Customer Service as well...

Looks like the Walmart Discover can go Bye Bye now. It has not been used for like a year anyways...

Nick...

At first I had some beef with them when they denied me years ago and I went with Boa instead. Glad I gave them another chance and today I only use my 2 chase cards for most of my spending. They have such a nice lineup of cards with perks and benefits (so much to list) which can be transferred 1:1. It would of been foolish of me to hold a grudge intentionally after so many years, just because they denied me before.

How do you like the new Huntington Voice card? I want to get it to replace my 5/3 card; only reason I am holding onto my 5/3 is the cell phone protection which is not all that great to begin with. I have a checking account with Huntington and want to build my relationship with them and kick 5/3 to the curb. In addition, I want the Discover it but I don't see how I could utilize both cards and I am only getting them to get them.

DONx3 : The huntington voice card is nice cause you get to pick your category... I have had nothing but good experience with Huntington even though I use PNC for my primary checking account... It replaces my Freedom I got rid of for the triple points and I se Gas as my "Voice".... The interest rate sucks for being a WMC but they said in 6 months to call and if all is good they should be able to lower it and raise the limit... I would never even pick PNC for a credit card as they all suck!!!! I use my Chase Cards for everything daily... I don't even use my AMEX more then once a month so they know I still use it... HA...

I would totally replace your 5/3 with the Huntington Voice card in a heart beat...

PNC and 5/3 are big banks in the midwest but they have **** credit cards which amazes me.

I tend to have credit cards with banks that I have account with or plan to have one in the future. I can't have a bank account or credit card with a company I don't have a great relationship with. Like a woman, I can't settle to be together just to be together. Boa isn't all that great with their ****ty rates and customer service that blows from time to time but it was like my "first" bank (like girlfriend) and I have some assets with them so I still have business with them.
