Use Quicksilver as everyday non-rotating category spending and wherever Discover is not accepted.

Use Discover It for rotating category and online Shop Discover spending.

Both cards BTW have no foreign transaction fees.

Congratulations on getting your new card, because they gave you a high CL also. Both card you are talking about are awesome cards. Even if you are not using Discover it, there is no reason to close it. It's gonna lower your average age of accounts and impact negatively your credit score. At the same time, if you use it wisely, you will save more money, i guarantee it, and both cards reporting "pays as agreed" will boost your FICO score faster. In the future, you'll appreciate it. CLOSE CREDIT ACCOUNTS IS NEVER A SMART DECISION FOR YOUR CREDIT.
