If you can't beat em... (CSP approval)

Postby TheLethargicAge » Thu Nov 07, 2013 10:20 pm

...you might as well join em! I gave in and applied for the CSP at a branch today and was instantly approved with a $17.7K CL. I requested that $4K be transferred to my Freedom to raise its CL to $10K and I'll transfer another $3.7K to an Ink Cash I plan to get for my business (in case I get declined or they give a low CL).

Now I'm off to the "garden" to atone for my sins! If the ERT asks, tell em you haven't seen me!

PS: the cherry on top was the gal who processed my app. What a ***y little thing she was ;-)
Blue Cash Preferred ($24K), Costco TrueEarnings ($8K), Better Balance Rewards ($6K), CashForward ($15K), Sallie Mae Rewards ($10K), Quicksilver ($17K), AARP Rewards ($15K), Freedom ($15K), Double Cash ($16.5K), It ($28.5K), Fidelity Investment Rewards ($18K), Cash+ ($11K)

I don't think you'll have any issue with a low CL on the Ink cards. Let them give you whatever and then you can move the $3.7k if needed. They're pretty generous though.

How terrible, how could you give up your seedling for that? :)

Just kidding congratulations to you that's a great starting limit.

"How can you do that to a defenseless seedling?! They're people too, you know."

Thanks, Member!

Apparently some of the garden fanatics from MyFico are lurkers on this forum.

I figured there might be a few FICO lurkers here. They won't join as we have no garden club for them.

You know I wil grant them it does make sense to not go nuts applying for everything when you are rebuilding, but once you have good credit established, it really doesn't matter as much anymore and you don't need to go 2 years without applying for anything. But some of them tell you to wait 2 years until you have no inquiries before applying for ANYTHING despite the fact that inquires have no effect on your score after a year, and I haven't heard of any lender who much cares past 6 months. Of course there are exceptions but that is a reasonable rule of thumb.

Anyway you did great and that's what counts!

That's exactly what I'm gonna do as soon as I get the card! She called me this morning to confirm the CL transfer to my Freedom. I teased her for a bit and we had a couple laughs together. She's gonna get it...oh yes, she's gonna get it.
