Though my scores took a hit from my new Freedom and BCE accounts.
Which report did they pull for you guys?

Square,

They pulled Eqx on me and from what I gather, that is what is being pulled exclusively.

Of course it would be EQ.
Its always the one CB score I struggle with for some reason.

Don't think I want to risk dropping below 700, so I'll sit on it for a while.
Maybe if I do the garden dance..

EQ indeed I have not heard they pull anything else (they pulled it for me).

Look at it this way - after a few months the inquiry isn't really going to hurt you much, and you could get a 5 or 7.5k line which would open new doors for you and boost your score more than the points the inquiry and AAoA drop takes after a few months.

So I understand your point, but if you look at the big picture, it might be worth it. As long as you don't have lates/baddies you should get it.

Do you think I might get a higher CL if I wait until after my 61 day 3X's CLI (December 9th) and let that report. Or do you guys think I should jump on the band wagon now before they stop being so giving?

Edit: no lates/ baddies, worst thing against me is AAoA.

I guess if it was me, in your shoes, I'd do my best to wait until that reports. The thing is it's not a guaranteed increase so you are betting that you will get an increase. But if you get the full 3X that would give you a 6k limit, so it might push what they give you up. So if you can it might be worth waiting for that.

I'm kind of itching to go ahead and apply for it now.
But the thing is, its so new, no one knows how they are with CLI.
So if I start off with a lower balance, I may be stuck if they aren't as generous down the road.

On the other hand, it would be closer to the age of my Freedom and BCE so they could age closer together. IDK.

From what I read on FICO the card has a max limit of 50k. That plus the generous initial limit if you have good credit suggests to me they will be good about CLIs if you treat them right.

The question really is do they require a hard pull for increases, and how often will they review accounts and give any auto CLIs. And I think you're right we just don't know that yet.
