Ha! That is true. FNBO issues a card for World of Warcraft so I guess anything is possible.

I think the main reason MyFico people go nuts for products like this is because a lot of the people there are in rebuilding mode, so a lender known to give high credit lines to people who would normally not get as a limit from Chase, BofA et al tends to not go unnoticed there. And one of the main reasons, like MemberSince99 said is for utilization. Every 6 months or so MyFico goes crazy for something..a few years ago everyone wanted to join PSECU because of the free Fico score and the split Visa card/LOC product (another lender known for high limits); in 2011 everybody was going crazy for the Zync etc etc.

When I first saw people posting about the Duck Card I thought those guys from Duck Dynasty had their own Visa....

How did you get banned from posting on there? I know it doesn't take much if you aren't one of their favorites. If you are also in the banned for life club like me, we can form our own club and put the banned symbol in our signatures here in honor of them :)

Yep that's exactly why they went nuts over it. They want a big limit card. That's great and good to have IF you don't abuse it or go nuts on it. I've learned my lesson there, but if you haven't yet, you are better off with a 2k card that it's hard to get into trouble with. So I suspect they'll eventually see some pretty high defaults and they'll have to lower those starting limits but who knows.

They were on an NFCU kick too I think over the high limits as well.

They also have a Beaver card (OCCU) so you can have a Duck and a Beaver :)

Well I pulled the trigger last night and was instantly approved.
I called this morning to see what the limit was...20,000 I about hit the floor when they told me.

This is by far the best initial limit I have ever had, very pleased so far.

I was never banned...I just never signed up. The last time I tried to sign up they wanted all my info and stuff for the Fico score etc. I felt that was too much info so I just lurk. There are for sure favourites...someone was just made into a moderator and there was an entire post for people kissing up to her. Made me ill; but I do get a lot of 411 there; for instance, that Amex offers EMV upon request. Got one for my Zync just yesterday. But I don't feel the need to post there.....why? What did you do to get banned? LOL

Yes, the Duck and Beaver cards are killing me. Naturally, I have a dirty mind so when I first saw Beaver I thought of something entirely different.

Ah I see. Yeah that was Lexie09 the uber garden fanatic right? On that site you had best kiss up to the mods, because if they don't like you they will make it a point to find fault with your posts and get you banned.

Me, I had gotten testy when I thought one of the people there was all over me in a not so nice way so I fired back in a not so nice way, and only I was labelled the problem there. That got me a mod who did not like me. From there my last mistake was to post a Cap One CSR experience (which had just happened to me at the time) and I mentioned the guy had an Indian accent (which he did) as part of the story so people could imagine his words that way like I heard them, though of course all their CSRs are Indian. He immediately jumped on what a racist I was for saying that. I said no dude, I was adding that not to be a racist, but to add to the story, YOU made it a racial issue here. And with that, he immediately had me banned for life.

That's all it takes at that place. It's just as well I wouldn't want to actually post there or deal with the garden groupie freakazoids anyway. If their religion is to worship at the altar of the garden, hey whatever floats their boat, I'm running my life the way I see fit to. And it's probably not the way they would.

HA I thought the same thing, now you got some people out there trying to get Beaver....

Oh I see. Yeah, that is the problem with all the credit sites (except this one it seems) wherein certain members for whatever reason are made into moderators and they seem to get an instant power trip. Not all of them, but a lot do.

And yes, you had a point; I cannot STAND when I am calling about my credit and I cannot understand the representative. 9 times out of 10 they seem to be from India and it is difficult to understand what is going on. You weren't bashing, just stating a fact. They didn't know what race you were but assumed you were Caucasian, and therefore, a racist. We've PCed ourselves into a whole that is only going to get worse. No big loss really; you can still pop in every once in a while to get some info and then leave. That's what I do.

LOL, Beaver!

Joe, they pulled Equifax and it currently sits at 772

Prior to applying I had 74,000 in credit limits with a DTI of 4%

AAOA = 9.6 years across 8 cards.

I hope this helps.

Joe, always have paid in full on all accounts.
Last time I paid interest was probably 10 years ago.
