Slate (after Bankruptcy)

Postby PallasAthena » Fri Oct 11, 2013 4:49 pm

I heard that the Chase Slate was for people with avg credit. I had a bankruptcy (chapter 7) in 2006 and I have always paid everything off since. I have a few CC's with credit lines over $5000. I tried applying for the Chase Slate and had to call the reconciliation line. They said the need a manager to approve it and that I need to wait 2 - 3 business days for a final decision. :(

Has anyone else had a similar experience?
Oct '16
TU: 783, Equifax: 772
Ch 7 BK in '06, finally dropped off in '16
2 mortgages
paid off car
0 CC debt (Disc, Citi, and WF Amex)
furniture debt: $1800
Closed unused CCs, was dinged a few pts, but recovered
I filed for BK in '06 and was in debt over $500K. Never again! You can do it too! :lift:

Well I called their reconsideration line again... and was approved!
I think the Slate is the easiest Chase card to get out of all of them. It can be upgraded at a later time.
