Is It Just Me, or Does HSBC Suck?

Postby Z06Biker » Fri Oct 04, 2013 7:28 pm

I tried calling their CS reps to ask if they had an EMV chip version coming out soon, but wasn't able to get through because I was on-hold for for 20 minutes before giving up! And I tried calling again today -- 15 minutes before I threw in the towel! I don't think their reps exist...

To add insult to injury, their newly designed site is giving me "error" messages whenever I try to log in to pay my balance. So I can't pay my balance, and I can't speak to anyone if I theoretically wanted to do it by phone.

What gives??

Well this explains a lot.... How unfortunate. The whole reason I have an HSBC card is to maintain a relationship with the bank, since one day I plan to do a lot of business in Hong Kong. But, the sale of their card biz to Crapital One makes me question how much significance that even holds, then.

They are one of those $hit companies that deal with cue lines by hoping you give up and leave.

I just had the same experience yesterday.... Air Canada 30+ minute wait for a CS agent. Lufthansa 3 mins.

Who do you think I booked my first class ticket with..... even if they were more expensive. I want to check out the first class terminal in Frankfurt; apparently they drive you to the plane in a Porsche SUV on the tarmac right to a special doorway to walk right into the first class cabin. Now that is awesome.

Sometimes a Mercedes S-Class, but yeah. I hear the lounge is nice, too.

Guess they have to do whatever they need to make sure the passenger's suit remains crisp and uber presentable upon arrival. I'll let you know how that turns out....

I know everytime I fly with Air Canada and their lie flat seats I always change out of my clothes and into my metro$exual yoga gear LOL That way I can sleep and not worry my clothes look like crap upon arrival.
