quicksilver

Postby mdl28 » Mon Aug 12, 2013 12:06 am

One of my first cards years ago was recently bought out by cap one. Well I had received a letter telling me that I would be recieving a new capital one card soon. I never use this card so I didnt pay much attention. Today I checked the mail and there was a capital one envelope. Opened it up and say it was the new Capital One quicksilver card. No annual fee and 1.5% back on all purchases. No limits. Not bad at all.

Any thoughts?

Awesome! I think the Quicksilver by CapOne is a pretty awesome card. 1.5% cash back, no limits, and most importantly no categories to sign up for or keep track of when spending. I'm definitely thinking of someday giving CapOne a second try but right now I'm too sore on them to even consider a great card like the Quicksilver. Good luck with it. One question though, I see you have prime cards like Amex and Chase Sapphire Pref'd, did they upgrade you to a Visa Signature or did it stay a regular Visa or Mastercard?

The chase sapphire pref'd is a visa signature, it comes standard when you get the higher tier chase sapphire. My chase freedom is a standard mastercard.

Not bad, for Cap One. It's one of their "prime" cards. CLIs are probably actually possible (though I would doubt frequent) on it. As long as you don't need customer support, should be fine. 1.5% is a pretty decent rewards and with Cap One you can redeem any amount at any time, which is one way they are better than most prime lenders.

I received my Quicksilver card through a link on Creditkarma. I was charged a $39 annual fee. Are offers through Creditkarma different going through the CO website?

There are 2 versions of the card. One for people with "Excellent" credit scores and one for people with "Good" credit scores, the latter has the annual fee.

I've read on Fatwallet that it is possible.
