Thanks Bank of America!

Postby AMEXAT19 » Wed Aug 07, 2013 1:06 pm

I have always loved Bank of America as they are the best bank in my opinion. Yesterday I called in for customer service to try and get an interest rate deduction on my Bank Americard Cash Rewards, that was unsuccessful as my current interest rate of 11.99 is the lowest they can offer at this time. So while I was on the phone with the Sr. Credit Analyst I asked about a credit line increase and sure enough I was approved with no hesitation my credit line went from $4,000 to $10,000 in less than two minutes. It amazes me as three years ago I started with a Student Platinum Plus Visa at the age of 18 with a $700 CL and here I am three years later with $10,000.

I have to say that's definitely a first. The praise for B of A rather...

But I have to say, my first line was a B of A Alaska Airlines Classic Visa with a $500 SECURED CL, and now...well... look at my signature ;)

tigerhunt, yeah I saw your signature the other day and it is rather impressive, but as far as Bank of America I truly love them as a whole, when I walk into my local branch the Banking Center Manager all the way down to the Teller knows me on first name basis as well as the rest of my family, but I must add that my family has been with Bank of America dating back to its days of C&S Bank and Nations Bank. But I must add that the Credit Analyst was impressed by my deposit accounts.

They are known for being generous, unlike (cough cough) Discover.

I suspect if your deposit accounts were high you could have gotten even more. But a 10k limit is nothing to sneeze at.

And tiger you have quite the collection of cards there. Now you gotta work on bringing those limits up but you are really doing great there!

My first credit card came from Bank of America. I've had no problems with their credit card customer service. It's their checking account that I had problems with...thankfully I closed that one long ago. But I'll keep their credit card as it is my first. I might PC it to something useful. Anyone know if their PCs are a soft or hard pull?

Sakhalin, I have never experience any problems with their checking accounts, I guess being that I am a Platinum Privilege client that could be it, but I enjoyed free check, never paying for money order, and everything is just FREE

I've also been pleased with BOFA. They have, for the most part, been good with a CLI I asked for. As well I like their student checking account and their website.

BofA has terrible customer service. I wish I didn't do business with them, but they meet my needs. They are generous with credit limits, though they often like to do hard pulls. I have two cards with them currently after having cancelled a third one.
