Ink Product Change Rules?

Postby lexrj » Wed Jul 31, 2013 4:22 pm

Can I product change from Chase Ink Bold to any other Ink?

I was thinking on starting with Ink Bold and then PC to Ink Cash before AF hits.

No. You can't. Because the Bold is a charge card with no set limit. It would be like asking Amex to change your Zync to a BCE.

Thanks for the info rez, but you can deduct the annual fee for taxes, right?

I'm a lawyer, not an accountant.

That said, it should be subtracted from gross revenue in your calculation of net. This year will be the first in which I'll be charged a fee on a business card, if I keep the Bold. I have no business revenue - I joined a firm on January 1 - but I keep the LLC open anyway. I plan to deduct the annual report fee and any credit card fees on my return, even if it means I show negative revenue.

I guess I could request that I get paid through the LLC, but the IRS probably wouldn't like that.

For anyone who cares, I called Chase just to confirm what was said on the forum about product changing the ink Bold and she told me you cannot.
