Worked for me as well. Up to $1250. For many of you $500 more may not be a lot. But my total credit line was $1950 and this is a 25% increase. Still worth something.

I got a denial letter the other day for my newcomer card. No credit score, so it better have been a soft pull. Strange thing is that on the letter, they said "This account is not eligible for customer initiated CLIs."

I found that interesting.

Also, I got one for my Classic Platinum, and it said the account hadn't been open long enough for a CLI. The whole thing is interesting. Looks like I'll be calling Peggy in a few months demanding an increase. With my luck they'll interpret that as an increase in APR. I'm sure they'd gladly approve that request!

hahaha Tell Peggy you need to convert your points to rewards so you can then transfer them to dollars. Or that you want to use your points to buy a CLI on your card.

I hope they at least had the common courtesy to tell you that Capital One is a conservative lender. Couldn't hear a denial of a 500 increase after 10 years without that could we?

What's funny is that's one of my older accounts, with heavy usage and never a single late payment. They really are an annoyingly conservative company. I won't be giving them any more of my swipes. That can go to GE, Chase, and Citi. At least I know those lenders will give CLIs when you deserve them.

Speaking of, anyone know a good GE backed card? I have a good history with them and they have my second highest revolving account.

Nice to see Capital One are just as bizarre in the USA as they are in the UK.

They seem to have cards with really low limits (Around £250) and then they have cards with limits with a minimum of £10000 (About 15000 Dollars).

This business model never made much sense to me. What's the point in having cards for people with poor and excellent credit history but nothing in the middle? It means they have to go somewhere in-between.
