CSP Offer?

Postby Malaranu » Wed Jun 19, 2013 9:14 pm

Hi All:

I've never posted before but I have lurked around for a while reading up on the forums. I followed a lot of advice on the forums and finally applied for a CSP and was approved! The only other card I had before was the Chase Freedom card that I have had for a long time.

When I was applying, I read the fine print and there is an excerpt that said "If applicable, Chase cardmembers who currently have or have had a Chase credit card in any Rewards Program associated with this offer or have received a similar bonus offer, may not be eligible for a second Chase credit card in the same Rewards Program, or for any bonus offer."

Since I have the Freedom card and it uses the Ultimate Rewards program, will I be ineligible for the 40,000 bonus points for signing up with the CSP? Does anyone have another Chase card and can verify when they signed up for a different card and was able/unable to get the sign up bonus?

Thanks for sharing the immense knowledge the community of this forum has! It definitely made me ready to apply for my second card! :)

That just means if you have or had that specific card before (in this case, CSP) you will not be eligible for that offer. I did get the bonus points after doing the spend requirement and had the Freedom prior. You should be good.
