CSP plastic card

Postby MB131174 » Fri Jun 07, 2013 4:11 pm

I ordered the plastic, embossed version of my CSP to have for when those rare times a cc copy is needed (hotel, etc). It came in the mail today, and I gotta say, it's pretty snazzy looking. I actually think I like the look of the plastic card better than the metal card. Granted, the metal feels nice, but the plastic is just so sharp looking. May use that instead. The "wow, this is a thick/heavy card!" comments are kinda getting old.

I never had one of those rare moments, but anyways, is it not possible to copy the metal version?

The metal card doesn't have raised numbers. I stayed at a hotel in Belize this year that needed to make an imprint of the card and couldn't due to the printed vs embossed numbers.

There has been times when carbon copy was required... the CC number was just copied down instead after a smile and a very little bit of convincing :)

Au contraire it gets old especially when one is in a rush

I actually feel awkward when someone is making comments about it. Since receiving the plastic card I've quit using the metal card completely. To be honest, it's a breath of fresh air. I'm not one to flaunt about that I carry a quasi "premium" card, so the less attention the card gets, the better. I carry the CSP because it suits me and my needs (credit limit, rewards, etc) better than any card out there now. I don't carry it for show.

Agreed! To me credit card rewards are all a game, and the day my CSP (or any other card) stops making sense and the cons outweigh the pros is the day it gets cancelled. For now though it's a great tool to use all those points from Freedom. Love me some UR points-- but that being said, I still love the design and the metal feel of it!

That's true. Plus I'm sure that the amount of comments the average CSP gets is minimal compared to the amount of attention your Centurion must get!
