I say call in to recon that application because I was declined initially last month (got the 7 day pending message) when I called to check the status of my application. The rep I spoke with told me the system automatically declined me because "seeking excessive credit" she said which she told me too many inquiries. When she told me that, I thought she meant I have the max credit available extended to me from Chase. I then pointed out to her that the inquiries were all from home loan, not credit lines. She then noticed that and updated my app and then approved me.
Also, grats on that new Amex card. Update your sig!

Any who I think if I would of paid the balance on my chase freedom before I applied I might of got it. I had about 2k worth of charges and then I applied for CSP and after that paid the full balance. I should of done it before I applied. Totally slipped my mind.

But never missed a payment with Chase, always pay in full. No idea why I was shafted. They pulled my EQ or Ex can't remember and it was 750. I do believe Chase blamed it on too many INQ in past 6 months but In the past 6 months I did get a home loan and a car loan. But only 2 Hardpulls for Home and 2 for auto.

Oh man!!! Dude that would have been so prime for calling and doing a recon you could tell them that and I bet you would have gotten it. I can personally attest that Chase underwriters are as pleasant to recon with as any company out there, and they can actually help you. If it's not past the 30 day window you really need to call their underwriters and explain that. I would say odds are you'd get approval.

Yeah I should of called and recon, that slipped my mind as well. I really wanted it just for it being a metal card, and I wanted to slap it down on some restaurant counters when I pay, but I hate paying annual fees so that's why I just moved on. I still my call and recon, not sure if it's been over 30 days or not! Thanks for the advice guys! Member99 are you loving your Sapphire?
