Bofa Signature Cards question.

Postby lexrj » Sun Mar 31, 2013 7:20 pm

How do the Bank of America Sig cards report? As a regular credit card account or a charge card account like AMEX?
Which ones are offered as Sig (obviously assuming one can get CL >= 5k)?

Thanks!

Mine reports with no limit. So in that respect it's like an Amex in that no limit is reported to the CRAs. I was told by a CSR that you could ask them to have the limit report, but it did not report by default (without me asking, which I haven't done).

The one you and I both have (Travel rewards) is offered as a Sig as I have one.

So on your CR the Bofa card account type show as Charge Card, NPSL or Credit Card?
The reason I ask is because i want to diversify my credit lines in order to attain a higher CS in the future. As you can see on my signature I do not a have a charge card yet, my CSP shows as NPSL and my BCP and CapOne as credit card.

They dont report the correct limits.

I had converted my plain platinum visa to a travel rewards card a month ago. I was not aware that it was a signature card ( until I got the new card ) as the website does not mention signature.

I called in and asked to revert to the old platinum plus account. BoA opened a "case" for the issue . I called in the direct number, agent said they can give me a platinum plus visa with the travel rewards features. Awaiting that card now.
