Marriott surprise

Postby Indy_Guy » Thu Mar 07, 2013 3:56 pm

I just received my new Marriott Premier card as I upgraded from the regular version and was surprised to see that it is now metal just like the Sapphire Preferred card. It was a cool surprise as I had not seen that mentioned anywhere before.

Ha, yeah. I got mine about a month ago and absolutely loved racking up the $1000 initial spend with it. It feels awesome to use, and you get these looks from cashiers, like "who is this guy, and what did he do to get this card?"

Marriott Rewards Premier

Postby cjordan » Thu Mar 28, 2013 2:34 pm

I was approved for the Marriott Rewards Premier Visa last week and received it today. Very happy with it so far. Definitely love the fact that it is metal, makes for some fun when using the card. It's a conversation piece.

Already made use of the EMV chip today. Grabbed a bite to eat for lunch and cashier had to insert it into the terminal for it to process. Apparently the terminal knew it had a chip so when she swiped the card it told her to insert it. Very cool technology.

I already received an email from Marriott informing me I've received the free night certificate for a category 1-4 hotel and I'm well on my way to the extra 50,000 bonus points.

I would say this is a great card for anyone who travels or just enjoys staying in hotels!
My Cards:
Chase Marriott Premier Rewards Visa Signature 6.5k (03/13)
American Express Platinum NPSL (10/13)
