You should ask the CSR that checks out your application if you can be transferred to someone that can manually review your application over the phone. If that doesn't work, you'll probably have to wait it out.

I too just applied for the CSP card and got the "We'll let you know in 10 days" message and email. Should I attempt a recon call tomorrow (does it need to be 24 hours) or should I wait until Monday?

Do you have more than 5 new accounts opened in the last 24 months? If you do, don't bother calling recon; you will be automatically denied.

If not, you can call if you want. People argue about whether you should or shouldn't, but I don't think it makes a difference in the decision at the end of the day. If you are going to call be prepared to answer the analyst's questions about your credit file/history.

I gave it a shot today at calling the reconsideration line and spoke to a very pleasant young lady....She asked a couple of questions verifying my annual income as well as monthly housing payment and said she would take a look at the app and get back to me in a few minutes. After about 5 minutes of hold time she came back saying that at this time unfortunately the app won't be approved because of the number of my open accounts with balance to credit limits being too high and she also stated that I had a charge-off back in 2004 that is obviously no longer on my credit report but apparently is still visible to the company where it occurred. I myself didn't even remember that. I politely thanked her for taking the time to assist me and we disconnected.

I guess i will have to wait. I open up 4 new accounts in the last 24 months?? In June 2016 it will be 3 new accounts. Is chase that hard to get? I really would hate to was a HP

Just wanted to post an update regarding a pending Chase card.

I submitted my application yesterday online in response to an automated mailing offer. I wanted the introductory 0% billing cycle. After I submitted my application, the system said it was pending. I called 800-436-7927 and asked to speak to someone who could review my application. The man was very nice, and after I answered a few questions, I was approved for $9000, so it does indeed work if you call, and Chase put my new account with my other information immediately. All of this took place in less than 24 hours, so call.
