BofA Card Compromised

Postby CC Deville » Thu Feb 14, 2013 5:33 pm

So, I went online to check my BankAmericard balance and find that it is not listed (my Accelerated Cash Rewards Amex and checking account are listed). I called the VRU and the automated voice told me the account was closed.

Mini heart attack.

Called a backdoor number (credit anaylst) and she told me that my card was compromised and that they had to issue a new account number and she is sending it priority mail....

Anybody else? I can't think of where I went that it would have been compromised...

I'm sorry to hear that CC. Hope you get the new card quickly!

No I haven't had that happen but I've only had it a couple of months now.

Thanks! Yeah, my BofA Amex is fine...it just bothers me now as to where I used my Visa that led it to be part of a compromise....
