You guys are right. You must apply for the Cash + in person at a branch.

I received my Chase Freedom card today. The $1K credit line and rewards are there, but my APR is 22.99%. Ouch!

It's no problem in that I never leave a balance on my cards -- but I guess they still consider me a risk.

Considering I was a recon, I guess that's the way it goes.

Also, one thing I read in my booklet that might be helpful to others: You can use your Chase Freedom as overdraft protection for a Chase checking account, if you bank with Chase. It's the first time I've seen that (I've never had a credit card with any of my banks before).

I think that's much better than using your checking account. It's a nice feature.

Think of it as their way of saying 'don't carry a balance'.

Or if you do carry one, ok, then you are choosing to pay us very well for that priviledge.

They also gave me that crap APR too but it is 0% for 15 months so if you don't PIF monthly that isn't a big deal but when the intro apr is over then always would PIF or ask for a APR reduction. They will see good payments and use for 15 months and may lower it to a reasonable %.
