MasterCard World Elite: What Extra Benefits Do You Get?

Postby benblb » Sat Jan 05, 2013 5:05 pm

Hi,

After searching all over for answers, I finally decided to join the forum and post. It seems I have a fairly rare CC: a Citi Thankyou Preferred MasterCard World Elite.

Now, this card is supposed to come as a World card, but I somehow have a World Elite. What does this get me? Shouldn't I get all the benefits of World Elite?

I know that Visa Signature cards get all the benefits from Visa and the bank, but are MasterCard benefits determined by only the bank?

I am 100% positive it is a World Elite card. It says "World Elite" on the back of the card.

Thanks for any help.

-Ben

Hey Ben! Welcome to the forum.

There is more information on the MasterCard World Elite here (http://www.mastercard.us/credit-card-world-elite.html). It is a combination of benefits prescribed by MasterCard, and some that are offered by the bank.
Looking to maximize credit, for myself and others.

I just noticed that Ameriprise offers a World Elite MC. It's actually the first direct application I have seen to date. The card seems okay but the "WE" benefits seem a little lackluster for the AF. Still, the WEMC is the one card I don't have...
Ameriprise WEMC
American Express (2005): Green & Blue Cash Everyday
Chase: Freedom & UA Club USAA: Signature Visa & American Express
Discover it Bank of Hawaii Hawaiian Airlines WEMC Synchrony Sam's MC
Navy FCU Platinum Visa Citi Double Cash & AT&T Access MC

You didn't receive any documents outlining your benefits along with the card?
