If you spend roughly the same, you can create completely false utilization issues. 90+% will likely never use the added benefits. I for one would like to have plain Visa's.

Actually, this isn't true. Both my Sapphire Preferred and United MileagePlus Club Visa Sigs report credit lines on my reports, along with all the other usual info.
AMEX: PRG Gold, Business Simply Cash, Business Costco, BCE.
Chase: United MileagePlus Club, Sapphire Preferred, Amazon Rewards
Barclaycard Arrival World Mastercard

USAA World Mastercard, USAA Platinum Mastercard
Wells Fargo Business Platinum
USC Credit Union Mastercard

that used to be the case years back. but no longer is. I have a BoA Susan G Komen World MasterCard and like the above poster a Sapphire Preferred Visa Signature card. Both report a credit line that can be seen on my credit reports.

I would like to note that Chase let me exceed my CL by 5K. i paid it back before my statement closing date and the high balance never showed up on my credit reports.
Junk I use:
AmEx Platinum for Mercedes Benz from, 75k spending ability
AmEx Everyday 8.99% + Prime, 44k CL
Chase Ink Bold, 35k
Chase Freedom (Converted from WaMu VISA) from '07, 5.99% + Prime, 30k CL

Junk I don't use
BoA Susan G. Komen Cash Rewards (converted from World Points MC) from '07, 7.9% Fixed APR, 30k CL
Discover IT (Converted from Discover More) from '08, 5.74% + Prime, 20k CL
AmEx Clear from '07, 4.99% + Prime, 10k CL
All 3 credit scores are over 800.

Right. The benefit of the Visa Sigs are that they have "NPSL" in the sense that while you have a "hard" limit, you could theoretically spend over that amount, as long as you pay the overage (plus minimum payment or more on the principle) in full come statement closing. But, that would probably look terrible on your credit report, to go over 100% of your card's limit.

That happens all the time with our Hawaiian Airlines Visa Signature; it only has a $1k limit which my wife often exceeds. I had budgeted $1k a month to pay for it while I'm deployed but often end up paying $1500 or so. Not a big deal, it just didn't work out how I had planned :-)
