I have the Capital One Venture
card. No annual fees, period. This is the gold one and mine has the MasterCard logo.
I used to have the Capital One Platinum card, which was billing me an annual fee of $29 / year. I asked to upgrade it and was approved for this Venture Platinum one. No more annual fees and I kept my credit limit ($3250). I had this card since 2007... the first card I got after my BK was discharged. When I looked at my credit report, it shows me as having this account since 2007.
I recommend you call your other credit card companies and see if they can do something similar, too. In fact ,Wells Fargo did it for me... upgraded my Secured CC to a Platinum cash back one with a $500 credit limit. This was in 2010. Today, that same CC has a credit limit of $5000.
My secret? charge everything - groceries, gas, etc... and PAY IT IN FULL at the end of each month! I rarely carry a balance and when I do, it's below 10% of my credit limit!
