Well, BCP capped the annual max on grocery at $360 (6% of $6000). So I was wondering if Penfed will end up doing something similar.

My guess is that there is a little less pressure: people are less likely to buy tons of gift cards at grocery stores to save 3% than they are to save 6% (especially if you have say a Fidelity Amex giving you 2% anyway). But time will tell!

I bought Laptops in Super Walmart and still got the 3% cashback as grocery..

Awesome. I appreciate the heads up and will definitely take advantage of that. I'm going to get gift cards from Target also.

I am counting the days before these Credit Card companies Execs get a load of this thread and they stop offering these perks. Especially when you admittedly state you purchased laptops and relieved grocery rewards. Not wise. I am sure those stores will soon be excluded and the rest of us will miss out.

You bumping this thread back on top doesn't really help that matter either. Besides, these loophole rewards always ends up getting changed. They don't tend to last forever!

Again I say that banks and institutions have been ripping us off for years. Why not spew the venom at them?
