jack pot wrote:So I anxiously waited for my Sapphire preferred card for about a week. Having heard the card was made up of actual metal, I couldn't wait to get it. When it finally arrived I could tell through the envelope that it weighed considerably more than my other cards. I took the card out and to no surprise she was beautiful. With the number on the back the front is left with an uninterrupted gorgeous blue design.
I decided to finally use it for the first time later that night at an arcade/bar. I wondered to myself as I walked through the entrance If my new card could fetch me a compliment. I walked up to the counter to meet a younger girl. I told her what I wanted and handed over both, my Id and SP preferred card. She compared the names and took a second to check out the card. Handing it back she said "that's a really nice card!" and I couldn't help but to smile as I thanked her. Later that night I made one more purchase and she mentioned the card again. Telling me she had never seen one like it.
I got this card just for the bonus miles and some of the perks that go with it, but I think I am going to continue using the card. It looks and feels so awesome I just want to show it off.
This is utterly ridiculous...but I want this card now just to show it off. I admit this is utterly ridiculous, childish, and uncalled for.
