Technically if you want the BEST possible score, let 1% report to the credit bureaus then immediately pay that off so you don't pay them interest (unless you really want to do that for some reason).

I just pay mine in full I honestly don't care about the few extra points you get for 1% vs 0% as above 760 there is no practical value anyway it's just an ego trip then.

Huh? I thought % utilization is calculated at the end of the billing period, not after your bill due date?

Main Card: Amex Platinum
For gas: Penfed Platinum Cash Rewards

I agree with this assertion.

Also, I would just keep your revolving balances at zero and only have a balance on installment loans. It is ok to carry a balance with revolving, but I don't think you have to.

So your post made me jump on the sapphire. Just applied for Chase Sapphire Mastercard and was approved. It wasn't instant but i called into the application status line and was approved :)

Income was $40,000 and Credit score would be the high 600's. Credit Karma has it at 712 so i assume it is lower then that.

Hello one of the harder cards I've been trying to attain and 40,000 points plus my 35,000 points from Freedom :)
Wells Fargo Student Credit Card Visa - $1300 (February 2011)
American Express Zync Charge Card (February 2012)
Chase Freedom Visa- $2000 5% rotating (April 2012)
Citi Forward Visa- $3000 - 5x at restaurants, amazon.com (April 2012)
Chase Sapphire Preferred Mastercard World Elite - $5000 (July 2012)

Credit cards left to attain
-Amex BCE/BCP

CK is very unreliable. It reports my score as 700, but my FICO last I checked on TU was 778. So your score COULD actually be a lot higher. In any case, YMMV with CK don't put too much into what it says.

You won't get your score if approved with best terms. Since csp is same terms for everyone, I don't think you will get score
Amex Centurion, Amex Platinum, Amex BCP 8k->24k (5/23/12), Amex TE 15k, Cap One 1.5% 15k->20k (8/7/13), CSP 25k, Chase Palladium 100k, Citibank AA 35k (AU), Firestone 1.8k->2.2k->2.4k (8/20/12), JFCU Jloc 30k, PenFed Plat Rewards 30k, SF Fire 30k, US Bank Cash+ 25k

CK is good for checking if your creditors have submitted your recent card history to TU.
