Just this morning, I went to use this card, I ordered a credit repot from Experian since it had been 3 1/2 months, and tried to use my Cash + card to make the 14.95 purchase. I didn't hink it would be an issue, but it was DECLINED and the card was BLOCKED by the fraud department for suspicious activity. I don't have a clue what triggered that.

I tried to call them about it on my lunch. First time I was told wait time was over 8 minutes, I held for 14 before I had to go get lunch before I ran out of time. I tried calling after lunch and it flat out told me it oculdn't take my call now and to please try calling again in a few hours.

Not looking too good for US Bank right now, they are in the back of my wallet and I'll use cards I can count on until I find out what is going on with them.

You might as well keep it you took the hard pull for it. Buy a pack of gum every couple of months and see if you can grow it. Nothing to lose really.

I feel like Jeffysdad is the only person that was able to get this card. I'm seriously debating if I want to waste an inquiry on this card. Arrrrgggh.

Well future, I can't get ahold of these guys, I can't use the card, so, based on what I'm seeing with it, do NOT waste an inquiry. Try getting ahold of them first and see if you can get through. If you can't even reach them what's the point.

And someone might be thinking what's the big deal. I'll tell you what the big deal is - if your cost is lost or stolen and used fraudulently, you only have so long to let them know before it becomes YOUR loss. So it IS important both for you and for them that you can reach them. You can even reach Capital One.

I SORELY regret applying for this and I'm going to close it, not because it was declined, but because it was declined AND because I simply cannot get ahold of them. That's unacceptable. If anyone else wants to deal with that, be my guest, but don't say you weren't warned.

If my limit is 2k and now I will have a joint account with my wife with a 13k limit and it's the cash+ vs the rewards card, I can't see screwing around with this card even my piker capital one is at $4800 If i cancel the card will it come of my credit report like it was never there???

Nope. It will still show just as closed for 10 years. And you will still take the inquiry.

I'm honestly not sure what happens if you don't activate it.

Actually I think it depends on US Bank. For SURE, you take the inquiry, you could dispute it, but if they say it's legit, which they surely will, I doubt you'll get it removed.

But as to whether it reports, that's up to US Bank really. You could call them and ask but who knows if the CSR will even know. Worth asking.
