How To Use The Thank You Store To Its Full Potential?

Postby Dylan1982 » Mon Jul 09, 2012 11:43 am

So I've been looking on http://www.thankyou.com, and I was jsut wondering how you use the TYP card and the TY store to its full potential?

I guess if you shop on line (with the TY stores that are patcipants) you can earn up to 4 pts for $1 you spend?

After you get some points, how can I redeem them? I cannot find anywhere on the ty website where it says to redeem the points.

Also, after X amount of time, will my points that I've earned expire?

Thank You points do not expire, so you don't have to worry about that. When you go to thankyou.com. there's a tab across the top that says "Rewards." Click on that and it'll give you the full suite of redemption options.

So let me as this question.

If I go to the Thank You website go to Get Points > Bonus Center > Shop Online > View All Online Stores (top left side of the screen) and click on the particpating store, and that's where it says that the store has X pts for $1 spent. But you have to order offline, correct?

You have to order online AFTER first going through the portal in the TY website. If you make the purchase in-store or direct through the company's website without going through the TY website first you will not get double points. Now, for merchants like Best Buy who will allow you to pick up merchandise in-store, you can still choose that as a delivery option and get the bonus rewards, again as long as you placed and paid for the order online and through the TY portal. Other bonus points programs such as Shop Discover and Amex Earn work the same way, so get used to doing it this way if you plan on capitalizing on these types of deals often.

What i've noticed is that going through their portal, their prices seem to be a bit higher, so in the end if the store I'm looking at is giving me 4 pts for $1 I spend, having higher prices doesn't mean I'm making out in the long run
