Nope, could not resist.

Just called in to check my status, and the automated system is telling me that my "credit card (Sapphire) has been approved." WHERE'S MY PALLADIUM APPLICATION!!!

Main Card: Amex Platinum
For gas: Penfed Platinum Cash Rewards
For travel & dining: Chase Sapphire Preferred

Denied. Apparently having gotten $56,000+ in new credit line in less than 3 months makes me a risk. Who decides on this nonsense?

Hopefully in a year's time there will be better cards that cost less and are easier to get.

Heh. Well look at it this way, they saved you $595 and a possible Barclay's closure. :D

As soon as I get my miles I am going to tell Barclays to take a hike.

I emailed Barclays CS asking when my miles will be posted, and he/she said 30 days after this current cycle (I have already met my spending requirements) and then asked if I would like a Dividend Miles card. I said yes thinking that it would be an US Airways member card. Today I got a letter from Barclays, in it is another US Airways Mastercard. The same one as I have.... What a joke.
