Just Got Approved For CitiBank Thank You Preferred Card

Postby Dylan1982 » Fri Jun 29, 2012 11:38 am

I had gotten an invitation in the mail back in early May and finally decided to call and submitt my application.

Well I got approved today for a CL of $4,600 :D And I really wasn't paying attention about the APR as my son decided to talk to me.. I heard it was 9.74% then prime of 12.99%... So I'm not sure which APR I just got???

Here are the details on the card with my invitation:

0% APR on new purchases for 18 mos.
0% APR on new BT for 18 mos. (3% BT fee)
Thank You Points (Don't know how those work just yet)

I'm really happy that I got approved for it!!

Thank You very much!! And this is the Thank You Preferred card not the regular Thank You card lol. I still don't know much about the Thank You points and how they work...

Well according to Credit Karma it is a 698 (C). On just this past Wednesday, I had to get a Personal Loan of $1,500, my credit union pulled my score with TransUnion. That came up at 676 (B), and A with TransUnion is 680..

Dylan I think you mean it's the perfered not the premiere. the basic no annual fee card? what made you get the perfered over the premier

Yeah I said preferred card, not premiere.. Yes this card has NO annual fee.

I got both the TY Preferred and Diamond Preferred card on the the same day, both with a $4,600 CL only bc I had gotten invitations in the mail.

Both cards are is as follows:

No annual Fee
0% APR on Purchases For 18 mos.
0% APR on BT For 18 mos. (3% BT Fee)

I applied for the cards bc I want to do a BT

So Dylan let's look at your situation let's say both cards the preferred and the premiere offer the same amount of points( this is just an example I don't have all of the numbers on the thank you card, just an example) 2 points per dollar spent on gas and restaurants
1 point on every thing else, maybe 2 points per grocery store. now with the Thank you preferred there's no annual fee , if you want they
might send you a hard copy of your year end summary. with the Thank you premiere the annual fee is free for the first year after that
there'sa 125.00 annual fee , you also get 2 airline tickets for you an a companion, this offer is not on the preferred card.
so even if you don't travel on business , you can go on vacation anywhere in the US.

so being both cards are free for the first year what made you decide to get the preferred over the premiere? being citibank isn't garbage like capital1 . citi invites you into there bank and helps you find the card that's appropriate for you.
