@ CC, Finally was able to upgrade to WE!! Had to go through few hoops, but it paid off. Back in May I started this thread. Than I had my Citi Simplicity, which I converted to Citi Dividend. It took 45-55 days to get the new card, with EVM chip. Once I got the card waited a month, and asked to see if there were any upgrade option, answer was no. Called today, US rep, she said yes it can be upgraded, I said ok, lets get the process started.I knew I had to wait 45 days. She put me on hold, came back in 3 to 4 min, said it was instantly upgraded, and will receive my card in 7 to 10 business days. Number will be the same. She also gave me a site and a phone number if I wanted use the lounge access today. As soon as I was done with her, logged on to my account and saw Citi Divided World Elite.... :) :)

It begins again with converting Citi Diamond Card WE..

My Chase Ink Bold is a MC World Elite, I think that's the only way it's offered.

Wow, congrats! Does your account number begin 5466 16? I was told back in April that to have the EMV chip in my Dividend World MasterCard that I would have to upgrade to World Elite. I waited the 45 days like an idiot and nothing happened. So I contacted Citibank via Twitter in June. He apologized and stated that the previous rep (from India) had not completed the request. I told him that I only really wanted the EMV chip and he must have taken that to heart because that is what he sent me, my Dividend World MasterCard with the chip. So I didn't get upgraded to World Elite. I had considered requesting it again but figured it just wasn't worth it. I never use my Dividend anymore since their 5% bonus catagories have frankly stunk in 2012. I sure wouldn't mind the hologram MasterCard logo that comes with WE though.

Let us know what happens with the Diamond Rewards card!

Yeah, that is their World and World Elite BIN. I have a 5424 18 World upgraded from Platinum Select with BIN mixing. You are kind of making me want a World Elite....I mean, might as well since Citibank makes it (somewhat) easy in the sense that I don't hear about people calling BofA, Chase or Cap 1 and having success in getting one.

What is the advantage in having a MC World Elite as compared with a Visa Signature or MC World?

Here is the link. World Elite MasterCard Credit Cards*| MasterCard® It also gives you access to Admirals Club Lounge, still not sure if they do PriorityPass. Visa Sig and World MC are about the same. MC World Elite is like PLA and Centurion to AMX, as per other online forum I have read so far.

@CC go for it, after all its free, and if your eligible, I don't know why anyone would not want one. You might have to give up your card number.

I was told that Dividend is the only WE card without annual fee, not sure about others if they offer it with out AF.

They don't offer it on the Diamond, which I knew after talking to few account manager b4. Mine was not the rewards version, it was BS extra cash. So called today and did a PC to Thank You Preferred world, once I get that, will follow the same process as Dividend.

I don't see Admirals Club on the MC site, it looks like that may only apply to Citibank.
