Got instantly approved for the Forward card

Postby Regnohspf » Tue Apr 24, 2012 2:24 pm

So I was again instant approved but this time for a Citi Forward card. Awesome!

But i did have a question on the card. I read somewhere that Amazon.com is included in the 5 points since it is considered a bookstore, but i also read that is only a promotion for new Citi Forward card holders and that it will end fairly soon.

Anyone have any other info about that?

If you ever have a question, their online account system is great, bills are incredibly easy to understand especially in relation to the points you earn each month. congrats.

Regnohspf:

its very simple to book, just the travel center within the thankyou website. As for how points build up, I got a bonus for spending x dollars of about 1200 and then another 1000 for signing up for paperless billing which is fine by me since snail mail takes so long. Then with the 5x points I just used it for most purchases and within a few months had enough! You can even pay using some points if you just wana get like $30 off your tickets to make them cheaper than the published price. You can use whatever points you have towards it.

I'm thinking of signing up for this card. What can you use the points for? I don't have a Citi checking acct, how would I then receive the points that I earn?

GM Card - $7,700 (7/2002)
CitiBank (Thank You Preferred) - $6,400 (6/2012)
CitiBank (Diamond Preferred) - $4,600 (6/2012)
Rogers & Hollands - $3,300 (3/2006)
Target REDcard - $3,000 (11/2014)
BestBuy - $1,600 (9/2003)
Discount Tires - $1,000 (2/2004)
Kohl's - $300 (4/2012)

They go into an account, similar to Frequent Flier miles go into accounts. ThankYou points can be used on various items, airfare, hotel stays. Check the Citi website, there should be a preview.
