Oh really Mr. Carter how many places can you name that takes visa but NOT Mastercard?
I know none. in Florida there were a couple of tiki bars that took both cards but not American Express, down by cestia beach for people spending over 10.00 they took both visa and Mastercard.

where ever you go if a merchant takes visa they take Mastercard. every establishment will take both.
in my home town at my local restaurants, when you order merchandise through a catalog or if you make donations to charities they all take both Visa and Mastercard!

Yes, but it is up to the issuer to setup a contract with them. In Citi's case they do.

Very simple. Go to London this summer DURING the olympic games. You'll find that ~85% of merchants near the olympic village suspend their use of MasterCard to accept lower fees + compensation from Visa. Visa is an official IOC sponsor.

Ask FastSRT8 about Vancouver in 2010, same thing happened.

Circles is very similar to VIP Desk, the differences are that I have a dedicated point of contact whom I can call or email and they get to utilize many tools exclusive to American Express concierge, where as other Circles clients do not get those tools.

Did celestine ask about the Olympics or did he/she ask about Citibank diamond Mastercard and a Visa? Did celestine ask about the Olympics and what establishments take only Mastercard or Visa? or is he/she interested in getting a Visa in case there are any establishments that only take Mastercard?

They are a sponsor of the Olympics but I can guarantee you this - if the establishment only takes Visa, they won't make that much money. Because if a customer is told the only credit card that place takes is Visa people will walk out his door and go somewhere else.

Whether it be a bagel shop, a bar/restaurant, a cafe, Mastercard was invented the same time as Visa late 60's early 70's Bank of America.

One time in Canada, around 1991 or so at the hockey hall of fame in the souvenir shop, a sales person said they only took Mastercard. Me and my friend talked to the person and explained the situation, that Visa and Mastercard are the same and eventually I used my First Fidelity Visa there. At that time they didn't take American Express, Discover or Diners club.

So can you imagine walking into a establishment and they only take 1 credit card - Visa? What do the people who have a Chase Freedom Mastercard, depending upon the establishment? If it's a restaurant, bar, bookstore, tourist store?

Anyone with the card try out or regularly use the concierge???! Is is good, bad, any funny stories or requests? I know it won't be centurion level concierge, but I'm curious how good it is compared to Amex or any other similar service. I mean, for no annual fee, I'm not sure what to expect before I apply!
Wallet: Amex BCE & Chase Freedom. (Credit Card dieting since 2014)
