Mid America Bank and Trust Total Visa a good choice or not?

Postby nightwatcher » Thu Feb 10, 2011 11:11 pm

What is better- getting the total Visa credit card through Mid America Bank (a small Wisconsin bank) or going with a credit card issued by a national bank? To me customer service is important and that is the reason I shy away from credit cards. Credit card rewards are secondary for me and as long as the Mid America total Visa compares to the average program I will be happy. Maybe you folks can help me.

I have never even heard of this 'Mid America Bank' before. I guess all things being equal, you best shy away from it. Too many American bankers doing Ponzi schemes these days and other frauds, not to mention that bank may not even be ensured.

I don't blame Elliot Castro for being cautious but I can assure you the Mid American Bank and Trust credit card is legitimate and can be trusted. I have family that lives in that area and am familiar with that bank. I Googled it and the card is managed by Total Card, Inc. which is a respected and honest company that manages credit cards for small banks.

If you like the Mid America Bank and Trust and their Visa card then go for it. I can't comment on its rewards or benefits in relation to others because I don't know what is being offered on their cards.
