I registered on their website and the account seemed to be working, since I was able to order a DVD from Newegg.com.

The next day I went back to Vons and put $340 in cash on a "ReloadIt" card, which comes with a code that you're supposed to add to your Paypower account in order to get the money. When I tried it gave me a message saying something like "you have exceeded the funds you are allowed". I called the company and a customer service person told me I needed to fax a copy of my driver's license and two forms proving I live at this address. So I did.

On Wednesday I received an email from a risk analyst at Blackhawk Network (the company that puts out the Paypower Visa cards) saying my social security number wasn't verifying, and requested I fax a copy of my SS card. I did that as well. I didn't hear anything for two days, so on Friday I called Paypower Visa again. When I explained the situation to the customer service, she put me on hold to talk to her supervisor. When she came back she verified they had received everything and it would take 1-2 days to verify my info.

So I'm wondering, what should I do? Right now I'm stuck with an inactive account and $340 dollars that I cant use (it also specifically says I cant return it to the location I purchased it). If my Paypower Visa card account still isn't activated on Monday should I call and try to get a refund? I don't think it's a scam since I did research and discovered Blackhawk Network is owned by Safeway Inc.

The same thing happened to me. The reason why you are having problems is because when you bought the card you didn't register it with your id etc.. right away so you are only allowed to put a total of $200 on the card. If you register the card which you did now it will take a day or 2 and they will verify your info and you will have access to your money.

Just give them a call since its been a couple of days and everything should be verified and if its not then ask for a supervisor and they will be able to help you. That's what I did and it worked for me and I have been using my paypower card online for months now and ive never had any problems with any of my orders.

Ok this is as simple as changing your clothes..Meta Bank is the one who handles the accounts. I know this because I'm a user of a debit MasterCard thru them in California for the last 6 years. Go to accountnow.com.. You can have either a Visa or MasterCard to Use on this account. Monthly fee is $9.99. 24 hour telephone service on balances and last 5 charges. Customer Service is Excellent..Toll Free Telephone Number + Internet Access for your account. There are perks to know of..24 hour limits on Direct Deposits (YOU) sending money to them is $900 a day. Direct Deposit never any problem. Is Instant on your phone or online. Best I've Encountered 866-925-2036 Meta Bank

Last Friday I recieved a refund of $498.00 from a store and it went on my paypower visa. It took paypower about 5 minutes and they put a hold on my card and all they say is 1 to 2 business days day after day. I faxed the documentation they asked for and they keep saying they didnt recieve it i have done it twice now and still nothing . How can they continuously get away with this? I see all the complaints filed and no one does nothing. I am contacting a lawyer today and anyone who wishes to get on board and file this lawsuit with me i can be reached at claritymedia@yahoo.com. I am way beyond the money part \its just principle now. Its about what is right and what is wrong.

HI,

I am currently having the same problems with paypower. They are currently holding over 2k of my paycheck direct deposited to card. What was the outcome of your problem as I can not get any to answer my calls or call me back. I even hired an attorney and no one has called him back as of yet. Please let me know what you did to resolve your problems...

Its April 2013 and I just tried to register the Paypower card we bought at Safeway. No such luck. The site says request failed and I called twice to resolve and received 2 different answers as to why but the last girl said I should just go ahead and use it w/ out trying to register. Ha!

What a waste of time and money. This company really is a rip off.

They have been holding my Veterans Benefits for 6 months now. I got this card initially to be able to get my federal benefits direct deposited to this card. I got the card, I supplied the VA with the routing and account number and set up the direct deposit.

In the mean time i even loaded some money on the card. I was able to use this card with no problems at all at first. They even credited my direct deposit from the us treasury (my va benefits) which was a deposit of $7026.00 they allowed me to use my card for about a week after this, with no problem at all, everything was verified, then all of a sudden I couldnt use my card at all, they put a block on because they felt i was using it to much and trying to access to much cash (even though it was well within the spending limit of the card) I have gotten the run around, I have sent in verification, re-sent in verification and sent it in again.

Proof of identity, proof that the deposit belongs to me, where it came from and why i get it, now mind you this is a government benefit, they can see that it comes from the us treasury they can see its also from the va, they deposit is attached to my name and social security number. They had no problem putting it on my account at all or even letting me spend almost half of it, well VERY LONG story short, here i am six months later with a balance on my card of over $4200.00 They will not send my money back to the VA nor will they send me a check, but they do keep charging me the monthly fee, and have since i got the card. I have not gotten any calls back all of the emails i get say someone will be in touch with me but no one ever is, now in the mean time i dont have a phone to wait for a call back, but now this is after 6 months of this. How is it my identity doesnt verify when i send you in all of my identification documents?

Okay well close the card and send me a check. send my money back to the VA whatever either way i will get it back eventually instead of them just sitting on it, the va cant get the deposit back becuase it was sent to the correct account and i was able to use some of it.... this is just stupid and i am at a loss, i will not just let over $4200 go. HOW CAN THEY DO THIS TO ME, HOW LONG CAN THEY HOLD IT? Why cant they just send me a check and get it over with??????? Ive given them eveerything they wanted and some. I want and need my money HELP!!!!!!!!!!! This HAS to be illegal!
