I just got approved for this card. I know I'm a bit late compared to everyone else. My interest rate is 16.24% and my CL is 10.8K. My income is only 52K. I am currently carrying a balance on my Capital one card of 4.9K so maybe now wasn't the best time to apply because i might have gotten a higher credit limit even though I'm below 30% utilization across all accounts before this inquiry was made. I do currently have a Chase sapphire Preferred card with a 10K limit. Should i PC to the CFU or the regular freedom card?
CO (7/2011): $6,250
Discoverit (9/2012): $9,500
AMEX PRG (3/2013)
CSP (7/2014): 10K
CSR (9/2016):10.8K

But, at the same time, anything could happen at any time with any card.

Agreed - many ppl will forget about it, especially those with a lot of cards or those that don't keep track of their card benefits.

I got mine on Wednesday. 95% of my spend for this card will be work related (Hotel, Food, Car Rental) which is the main reason I got it.

So won't have any issues redeeming the credit, meeting the spend requirement for the bonus and earning enough points to cancel out the annual fee.
CSR $24K | Discover IT $22.9K | AMEX BCE $15K | AMEX EveryDay $12.9K | Marriott Premier - $11K | Delta Platinum $10K | Freedom $6.5K | Freedom $6K | BOA Travel Rewards - $2.7K | AMEX Premier Gold

I'm not sure what they're likely to do. The earn rate is good, the bonus is great, and the $300 credit is nice ($600 for the first 12 months).

Apart from that, though, the card doesn't really have a ton of benefits. The lack of any United perks was a disappointment to many points enthusiasts.

Read on MF that the JPM Reserve card does offer United Club access, so they are apparently "reserving" that perk for the private banking customers.

That's pretty messed up. I don't like that on principal.

How long does everyone think the 100K offer will last? I need it to last another like 10 months or so...

If demand is really that much higher than Chase has anticipated, they'll probably think they can easily afford to lower that bonus. I hope it lasts, too. I may be going for it at some point, but not right away.

I decided to wait until the first AF fee hits on my CSP and then look at where the CSR is at. Kind of hoping some of the other cards on the market will improve their signup bonuses to compete with this, as I don't really need two Chase Sapphires. There's the AmEx Platinum, of course..

So I need to replace a few things around the house ($500-$600), but I want to put it on the CSR for the $4K spend. The only problem is that I have $1.3K on my CSP from my recent trip to Europe. It will be paid off and the statement will post on the 19th so I would need to wait till the 21st to make sure it reports. My question is if you guys think it will make a difference if I apply now or wait two weeks? The $1.3K is still less than 30% of my limit and my FICO from Discover is 777.

EDIT: Went for it and got an instant approval for $19.5K limit and the lowest APR.
Discover IT - $5,700
Chase Freedom - $5,700
Costco Citi - $13,000
Sallie Mae - $4,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred - $6,000
Chase Sapphire Reserve - $19,500
Citi Double Cash - $6,500
Amex BCE - $13,000

FICOs: Discover (777), SallieMae (764), Amex (767), Citi (772)
FAKOs: CK- TU (760), EQ (760)

Nice! Plan to PC the CSP to a Freedom Unlimited?

Will PC it to a regular Freedom right before the AF hits. Don't want to lose out on the FU signup bonus down the road.

For conversation's sake, would there be any good reason to not downgrade the CSP once you have a CSR? I don't see one, but I don't always see every angle.
