I decided against it for now. I just got the CSP a few months ago, and I just booked my first UR trip. Still plenty of points leftover for more, so while the signup bonus is enticing, it's not something I need right now.

I think I'll wait until the CSP is up for renewal (next April) and hope the signup bonus is still around then. If it is, app and immediately combine the two accounts. We'll see.

I have to admit this was the most tempting offer I've seen in a while. I was excited enough that it took significant self-restraint to not app immediately.

I have a Chase Sapphire Preferred, and the Ritz both are good cards for what I use them for, I guess my second question is those are Visa Signature, and the new Chase card is a Visa Infinity is there something different why did they go from Signature to Infinity?

Us Ritz holders are switched to Visa Infinite automatically. But, you won't get the new physical card unless you report your's lost or card is expired. The benefits have already been activated.

Well I decided to go for it - I applied online and was approved for a 30k CL. I must say it was easy and fast, that was the first time I've applied online for a CC. Normally I just call.

oh man, i can't stand calling. no one understands what you are saying and you have to repeat yourself a thousand times. then when you get approved, you login to find your account has a bunch of incorrect or misspelled info. did that one time and never ever will i do that again.

but congrats on the card. great limit with what hopefully turns out to be a great card

Why thank you! I do understand what you mean about calling in, but I guess I just like talking to a live person.

Still mulling over pulling the trigger on this card, and I'm thinking they HAVE to nerf it at some point right? Like, that $300 yearly credit on any travel expense brings the cost down to $150 per year, plus offering 3 pts on travel and dining with no limit has to cost Chase quite a lot (since probably anyone who gets this card is spending a lot on travel and dining).

So which benefit does Chase cut first, do you all think? Lower the travel credit? Caps on travel/dining? Or maybe they just start offering the card with a lower sign-up bonus?

I would imagine they would not change the 3X on dining and travel since that is the factor that differentiates it from the CSP the most. They will probably reduce the $300 before getting rid of it outright.
Discover IT - $5,700
Chase Freedom - $5,700
Costco Citi - $13,000
Sallie Mae - $4,000
Chase Sapphire Preferred - $6,000
Chase Sapphire Reserve - $19,500
Citi Double Cash - $6,500
Amex BCE - $13,000

FICOs: Discover (777), SallieMae (764), Amex (767), Citi (772)
FAKOs: CK- TU (760), EQ (760)

They can always nerf UR transfer ratios.

I'm not sure what they're likely to do. The earn rate is good, the bonus is great, and the $300 credit is nice ($600 for the first 12 months).

Apart from that, though, the card doesn't really have a ton of benefits. The lack of any United perks was a disappointment to many points enthusiasts.

Letting new accounts cool off since May
Really not sure what I'll add next or when

I think you'd be surprised how many people won't use the entire travel credit every year. And $150 is still a hunk of a fee to work with. And people will definitely carry balances on it.

But, at the same time, anything could happen at any time with any card.
Amex - BCP, Platinum, Business Gold
BoA - BankAmericard Cash Rewards
Chase - Freedom, CSP, RC, Ink Plus
Citi - DC, Prestige
Discover - It
